Dha McLeod, Morden, MB (May 28) Brian Kentner from Boissevain in Pure Stock and Dean Miljure of Winnipeg in 4 Cylinder topped the stock classes in racing action at ALH Motor Speedway on May 28. Those who braved cool and windy conditions to attend were treated to plenty of action in these two classes.
Kentner started in the middle of the pack in the 12 car Pure Stock feature. He drove a steady race, as he usually does, eventually catching early leader Austin Overwater of Winnpeg and holding on for the win. Overwater has shown he can run up front quite well and got into a heated battle with Les McRae of Marquette for second spot behind Kentner over the final few laps of the race. He seemed to slow coming off corner four racing to the checker flag and McRae got past him for second.
The race had quite a few cautions with just half the starters finishing. A couple cars were damaged quite extensively. Most often there is a lot of contact in this class. And it is not always the rookies and those with the least racing experience who are the cause of the carnage.
Brian Bellew of Killarney and Nathan and Marv Klaassen, both of Morden, were the only other cars to finish the race with the other six dropping out. McRae and Chad Allen of Morden won the heat races.

In 4 Cylinder no one has been able to catch Miljure for the win so far this season. Ian Cabernel and Sheldon Simoens, both from Bruxelles, have given it a good try but again they finished second and third in both the feature and heat races. Madison Brown from Winnipeg and Jack Richardson from Morden followed.
