Keith Cumming, Greenbush, Minnesota (August 26) A light drizzle started to fall just as the race program was about to get started, so track officials decided to wait it out. Just as it seemed the persistent light drizzle had stopped, the rain started again and promoter Jaime Sovde was forced to cancel the nights racing for only the third time this year at Greenbush Race Park.
The 2017 race season will wrap up with two nights of racing on September 2nd and 3rd. Racing both nights will be the Modifieds, Street Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Lightning Sprints and 4 Cylinders. Gates open Saturday at 4pm, with the cutoff for the draw at 6pm and the green flag drops at 7pm sharp. Sunday night everything gets started one hour earlier. Sunday night is also Fan Appreciation Night with meals being served after the night’s racing action. It will be a free will offering for the meal with all of the money raised going for the medical expenses of Murray Kozie. Points plaques will also be awarded Sunday night to the top three in points in each class.
