Dha McLeod Morden, MB (June 25) Ian Cabernel of Bruxelles was the winner again in 4 Cylinder class at ALH Motor Speedway on June 25. It was his second win in a row and allowed him to close in a bit on class points leader Dean Miljure of Winnipeg. Miljure had 373 points and Cabernel 348.
Cabernel got a good start as did Denis Seguin of Winnipeg. As the laps clicked off Cabernel extended his lead while Miljure and Seguin waged a spirited battle for second spot that Seguin won.
Josef Adler of Morden has inherited the seat of the 22X Hyundia of Jack Richardson. He got the feel for the car in the heat race in which he trailed the field. He got somewhat more bold in the feature finishing sixth ahead of Madison Brown and Shane Rehill, both of Winnipeg. Brown is third in points while Richardson was fifth.
Miljure won the heat race ahead of Ryan Higgins of Winnipeg and Seguin. Cabernel was fourth. Surprisingly the top lap time in this calss is just under 18 seconds while in Pure Stock the top lap time is just over 17 seconds. Not a lot of difference.
