Dha McLeod, Morden, MB (May 28) Austin Hunter in WISSOTA Midwest Modified and James Wall in WISSOTA Street Stock were winners at ALH Motor Speedway on a cool and windy afternoon this past Sunday.
Hunter, from Winnipeg, made his way to the front from his seventh starting position to earn the Midwest Modified win. Rick Fehr of Winkler started fifth and finished second with Murray Kozie of Headingley third. Cody Wall and Brandon Wieler followed in fourth and fifth. Both are from Plum Coulee. All 11 starters in the feature managed to finish. Hunter and Kozie were heat winners.

In Street Stock, even though there were just three cars, the James Wall win was a real highlight of the day. Before the days of ALH James was a dominant force in street stock. He moved up to midwest modified and then to WISSOTA Modified.
Along the way his and wife Kim’s sons Cody and Brad became involved in the ALH racing family. Sadly Brad lost his life earlier this year and James decided to campaign Brad’s newly built street stock along with his modified.
On this day he piloted the 25 RIP machine to wins in both the heat and feature races. Rod Wolfe in the 8 and his dad Dave in the 4 car followed Wall across the finish line in both races. Wall is from Winkler and the Wolfe’s from Morden. It was an emotional victory celebration.
